The Treasury of Lives

Wodren Pelgyi Wangchuk ('o bran dpal gyi dbang phyug) was born in Woyukdar ('o yug mdar), a son of the Wodren clan. He lived as a household tantrika and became a heart disciple of Padmasambhava.

He is said to have mastered the tantric teachings and gained the ability to swim in wide rivers like a fish. His clan still preserves and practices the oral teachings of the spoken word (bka' ma) lineage of Nyingma teachings.

Arthur Mandelbaum was a Buddhist practitioner and translator.
