The Treasury of Lives

Chowang Dorje Dzinpa (chos dbang rdo rje 'dzin pa) was the reincarnation of Ngari Terton Garwang Dorje (mnga' ris gter ston gar dbang rdo rje, 1640-1685). He was the son of a yogi named Nyida Longsel (nyi zla klong gsal, d.u.), who had been a close disciple of Garwang Dorje. As a young boy he was brought to Mindroling Monastery (smin grol gling dgon) by its founder, Terdak Lingpa (gter bdag gling pa, 1646-1714) and educated there.

He later moved to a monastery established by his father, possibly Yangcho Sangcho Pema Lhunding (g.yang chos gsang chos padma lhun sdings), in central Tibet.

Dorje Dzinpa arranged the teachings of Garwang Dorje in suitable liturgies and wrote several commentaries on them. He also composed commentaries on teachings revealed in visions of the Indian saint Jabhir (dza bhir) on the practice of Chulen (bcud len).

Further details of his life are not available.
