The Stok Royal Palace, a seat of the Namgyal Dynasty in Ladakh, was granted to the family in the nineteenth century by the Dogra rulers. It is now home to a museum that houses historic and religious objects. Among the many notable objects held are paintings dating to the era of Tashi Namgyal (16th century).
