Pungpo Riwoche is a Nyingma monastery near the Shang Valley in Tsang. It is located at one of the main sacred mountains of Central Tibet. Yungton Dorje Pel resided there. A monastery was formally established in the seventeenth century by the Fifth Dalai Lama at the long-standing sacred site.
