Galenteng is a Sakya monastery in Derge. It was initially established as a Nyingma monastery in 1005 by Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje, then later restored and converted to Drukpa Kagyu by Lingrepa. It became a Sakya monastery in the thirteenth century, converted by Ga Anyen Dampa Kunga Drakpa.
