Karma Raja Maha Vihar
Karma Raja Mahavihara is a Karma Kagyu monastery at the Swayambhunath stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. The first structure is attributed to the Fourth Shamar Rinpoche. The Sixteenth Karmapa stayed at the monastery for several months during the 1969-1970 winter. At this time the Sixteenth Karmapa initiated its renovation. It was badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake.
