The Pangdatsang house was a three storey stone building in the Jokhang area in Lhasa. Originally belonging to the aristocratic Tsarong family, Dasang Damdul Tsarong sold it to the Pangdatsang family, a mercantile family from Kham that moved to Lhasa in the early twentieth century and became one of the richest trading families in Tibet. In turn, the Pangdatsang family sold the house to the new government in the 1950s. It was still extant in 1994 at the time of the Lhasa Atlas survey.
