Tarpa Ling is a monastery in the Nyang Valley in Tsang. It was founded in the mid seventeenth century as a Geluk establishment. It's a seat of the Pel lineage of the Sarmapa masters. Buton Rinchen Drub studied Sanskrit poetry and grammar here for about four years with Tarpa Lotsāwa Nyima Gyeltsen.
