The Treasury of Lives

Ivolginsky Datsan is a Geluk Buddhist temple in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. It was founded in either 1945 or 1946 (sources differ) with governmental and community support after a period of harsh religious repression in th 1930s. It housed Central Spiritual Administration of Buddhists of the Russian Federation and is considered a major center of Buddhist learning and practice in Russia.
