One of the four large regional houses of Drepung Gomang College of Drepung Monastery. The others were Samlo, Gungru and Drati. Prior to 1959, Drepung Gomang had sixteen regional houses or monastic dormitories, and monks coming to study at Drepung would stay at these houses based on their regional affiliation.
