Dungkar, a Geluk monastery in located in Guge. According to tradition it was founded by Lhai Metok, the daughter of Lha Lama Yeshe O. It is a branch of nearby Toling monastery. Tashi Choling is a temple building located at Dungkar that was constructed in the fifteenth century. There are also cave temples that contain impressive murals that suggest early Indian influence.
