Dramagang, also known as Drama Monastery, was established in the nineteenth century by Kunga Loden and expanded in 1859 by Ngawang Lekdrub. It fell into disrepair and was restored and reconsecrated in 1926 by Jamyang Chokyi Lodro, Samten Lodro, and Khenpo Chokyi Wozer. Dezhung Rinpoche studied there in the 1920s.
