The Treasury of Lives

The Simda Dzogchen incarnation line is a Nyingma line with its seat at Simda Dzogchen monastery in the Markham region. The line was established in the early half of the eighteenth century when Kunzang Pema Wanggyel was identified as the reincarnation of the Dzogchen master Orgyen Samten who was posthumously recognized as the First Simda Dzogchen. It was Orgyen Samten who established Simda Dzogchen Monastery, the seat of the incarnation, in 1678.
