The Treasury of Lives



Sherab Zangpo (shes rab bzang po) was the twelfth abbot of Ralung Monastery. His father was the tenth abbot of Ralung, Jamyang Yeshe Rinchen (’jam dbyangs ye shes rin chen, 1364-1413). He had two brothers: Drung Dorwa (drung rdor ba) and Namkha Pelzang (nam mkha’ dpal bzang, 1398-1425). Drung Dorwa’s son was Druknyon Kunga Lekpa (’brug smyon kun dga’ legs pa, 1455-1529).

With his wife Kunga Dzom (kun dga’ ’dzom) he had two sons, the Second Drukchen, Kunga Peljor (kun dga' dpal 'byor. 1428-1476), the thirteenth abbot of Ralung; and Lhai Wangpo (lha’i dbang po).
