Yangdok was a Kadam monastery in Kyirong. It was the seat of the eleventh-century translator Naktso Lotsāwa Tsultrim Gyelwa. The thirteenth-century translator Chak Lotsāwa Choje Pel, who was based there for several years on his return from India, famously corresponded with Sakya Paṇḍita on the topic of monastic education while at the monastery.
