Tekchen Choling is a temple located in Dharamsala, India that is connected to Namgyal Monastery and the private residence of the Dalai Lama. It was founded in 1969. Among the many statues and images in the temple is a statue of Avalokitesvara that was contstructed around fragments of the head section of a seventh century statue rescued from the Lhasa Tsuklakhang in Tibet in the 1960s.
