Pelri Tekchenling is a Nyingma monastery in Chonggye, that was initially established in the fifteenth century by the local lord named Sonam Tobgyel. A branch of Katok, it was the birthplace and childhood monastery of Jigme Lingpa. Pelri is the seat of the Pelri incarnation line.
