Khyunglung Ngulkhar, regarded as the capital of the ancient Zhangzhung kingdom, is where Drenpa Namkha is said to have been born. The exact location is not settled, however, research by John Bellezza suggests that it may be locatedin the Sutlej Valley of southeastern Tibet.
