Garpa Ritro is a small hermitage between Lhasa and Drak Yerpa. Its origin is not currently recorded, but it is known as the residence of the Ling incarnations from at least the time of the Fifth Ling. The Vajrabhairava sādhana he composed was published at the associated Garpa Ritro Printing House (established circa 1875) at the hermitage.
