Khemar is a Nyingma monastery of the Katok tradition founded by Terton Sogyal in 1904. It is located in Pema county in the Golok region, near Dodrubchen monastery. In 1989, the monastery was revitatilized, with a cohort of 20 monks approved, growing to about 40.
