Ba is a Geluk monastery in Chumarleb county in eastern Tibet. The region was more or less uninhabited until the late nineteenth century. In 1924, the first fifteen pastoral households moved to the region from Golok. Before 1948 four hundred monks lived in Ba Monastery.
