The Treasury of Lives

A Geluk incarnation line dating from the early 18th century with a seat at Labrang monastery in Amdo. Lobzang Nyendrak, posthumously known as the First Nyendrak, served as the thirteenth throne holder of Labrang Tashikhyil. He was a Tibetanized Mongor who trained at Labrang and Sera, and was the first to earn a Doram degree at Labrang in the new educational system there.

Lobzang Nyendrak, posthumously known as the First Nyendrak, served as the thirteenth throne holder of Labrang Tashikhyil. He was a Tibetanized Mongor who trained at Labrang and Sera, and was the first to earn a Doram degree at Labrang in the new educational system there. After his retirement of the abbacy he also served as the abbot of Gyakhar Monastery and Urge Monastery.
