Vidyākaraprabha was an Indian translator active during the Tibetan imperial period. He is credited with collaborating on several works in the Kangyur. These include the the Mahābherīsūtra, the Vinayavastu, the and Vidhyottamātantra. This last work is an early Mahāyoga tantra.1
He collaborated on several important works in the Tengyur, including Haribhadra's important Abhisamayālaṃkāra commentary, the Abhisamayālaṃkāra-nāma-prajñāpāramitopadeśa-śāstra-vṛtti in the Cittamatra section. According to James Apple, this is the main source for Abhisamayālaṃkāra exegesis in the Tibetan tradition.2
He is also credited as the author of a work in the Madhyamaka section of the Tengyur, with the title Madhyamakanayasārasamāsaprakaraṇa, which he translated with Kawa Peltsek Rakṣita (ska ba dpal brtsegs rakṣita).
