In the fourteenth century, the master Drolmawa Droton Samdrub Dorje ('bro ston bsam grub rdo rje, 1294–1375) transmitted the essential Nyingma anuyoga tantra called the Sūtra That Gathers All Intentions (dgongs pa 'dus pa'i mdo) to three main disciples, one of whom was Zurmo Gendun Bum.[7] She then transmitted the lineage to Zurton Śākya Shenyen (zur ston shAkya bshes gnyen), who passed it to Drao Chobum (bra'o chos 'bum), who passed it to Mokton Dorje Pelzangpo (rmog ston rdo rje dpal bzang po).[8] By the sixteenth century, this lineage of the Sūtra That Gathers All Intentions was known as the "Kham Tradition" (khams lugs), and it was absorbed into the canons of Katok Monastery (kaH thog dgon),[9] which specialized in the preservation of the Kama tradition prior to its reordering under the leadership of the treasure revealer Longsel Nyingpo (klong gsal snying po, 1625–1692) ...
