Although neither Go Lotsāwa nor the contemporary historian Yeshe Dorje (ye shes rdo rje) mention the Second Zhamar training under Sanggye Lingpa (sangs rgyas gling pa, 1340–1396), Dudjom Rinpoche (bdud 'joms rin po che, 1904–1987) counts him as one of Sanggye Lingpa's lineage holders.[18] His importance to Nyingma lineages invites more research, but it is especially noteworthy that one of his compositions, An Easy Instruction in the Heart Essence, the Realm of Space: Guiding Pith Instructions from the Precious Aural Lineage,[19] was chosen by Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Taye ('jam mgon kong sprul blo gros mtha' yas, 1813–1899) as one of nine texts representing the Mind Category of Dzogchen in his influential compendium of teachings, the Treasury of Instructions (gdams ngag mdzod) ...
