The Treasury of Lives

Khyungdruk Jampa Tashi was born in the late fifteenth century in Tanak (rta nag), in Tsang. He was the younger brother and disciple of the twelfth abbot of Sera, Chokyi Gyeltsen (chos kyi rgyal mtshan, 1469-1544/1546). He initially studied at Tashilhunpo and ultimately became a renowned scholar. He was also an abbot of Tashilhunpo. He is the author of several texts, including a commentary on the Abhisamayālaṅkāra and an exposition on advanced states of mind and dependent origination. Further details of his life are not available.
