Gemang, a Nyingma monastery, was established in Sershul Dzachukha in Kham by Gyelse Zhenpen Taye Ozer in the nineteenth century, on a site where Gemang Lama Dongak Tendzin first built a hermitage called Drama Barmi Gonlung in 1684. It is a seat of the Gemang incarnation line.
