The Simda Dzogchen incarnation line is a Nyingma line with its seat at Simda Dzogchen monastery in the Markham region. The line was established in the early half of the eighteenth century when Kunzang Pema Wanggyel was identified as the reincarnation of the Dzogchen master Orgyen Samten who was posthumously recognized as the First Simda Dzogchen. It was Orgyen Samten who established Simda Dzogchen Monastery, the seat of the incarnation, in 1678.

The First Simda Dzogchen Tulku, Orgyen Samten

Orgyen Samten, a student of the First Shechen Rabjam and the First Dzogchen Drubwang, established Simda Dzogchen Monastery and was posthumously given the title of First Simda Dzogchen Tulku.
The Second Simda Dzogchen Tulku, Kunzang Pema Wanggyel

Kunzang Pema Wanggyel was the Second Dzogchen Sib Tulku, based at Simda Monastery in Kham.
The Third Simda Dzogchen Tulku, Gyurme Tekchok Tenpa Namgyel
b.1786 - d.1839
The Third Simda Dzogchen, Gyurme Tekchok Tenpa Namgyel, was a student of the Third Shechen Rabjam. As with other incarnations of the lineage, he was based at Simda Dzogchen Monastery in Markham.
The Fourth Simda Dzogchen Tulku, Gyurme Sizhi Puntsok

Gyurme Sizhi Puntsok, the Fourth Simda Dzogchen Tulku, was a student of the Fourth Shechen Rabjam and the First Shechen Gyeltsab.

The Fifth Simda Dzogchen Tulku, Gyurme Pema Tekchok, was a student of the Fifth Shechen Rabjam, Ju Mipam Gyatso, and Dilgo Khyentse Tashi Peljor.
