Biographies
The First Karma Kuchen, Karma Tashi
b.1728 - d.1790
Karma Tashi was the fourth throne holder of Pelyul Monastery. A relative of the monastery's founder, Kunzang Sherab, he founded Yulkyong Monastery. Following the identification of his rebirth he was posthumously given the title of First Karma Kuchen.
The Second Karma Kuchen, Karma Gyurme Ngedon Tendzin
b.1794 - d.1851
Karma Gyurme Ngedon Tendzin Zangpo, the Second Karma Kuchen, served as the sixth throne holder of Pelyul Monastery. He founded the Pelyul branch monastery of Dartang in Golok.
The Third Karma Kuchen, Dongak Chokyi Nyima
b.1854 - d.1906
Orgyen Dongak Chokyi Nyima, the Third Karma Kuchen, served as the third throne holder of Dartang Monastery and also the eighth throne holder of Pelyul Monastery.
The Fourth Karma Kuchen, Karma Tekchok Nyingpo
b.1908 - d.1960
