Evaṃ Monastery was founded in 1359 by Yakde Paṇchen Tsondru Dargye in Medro Gongkar county in central Tibet. Also known as Ayang Monastery, it is not to be confused with Ngor Evam Choden. It shares affiliation with both the Sakya and Geluk traditions.
