Dzigar, a Drukpa Kagyu monastery located in the Jomda region of Kham, was where the master of medicine and art Deumar Geshe Tendzin Puntsok began his monastic training. It is the seat of the Dzigar Kongtrul incarnations. A branch in India was founded in the 1970's.
