Biographies

Lobzang Tendzin Gyatso was the Second Mindrol lama of Tsenpo Monastery in Amdo, one of the eight reincarnation lineages, or kūtuktus, residing at Beijing in the late eighteenth century. He served as emissary of the Seventh Dalai Lama, and appears to have played an important role in developing Tibetan-Manchu relations. Subsequent incarnations were known by both Mindrol Nominhan and Tsenpo Nominan.
